Head of Operations

Dominic is a self-disciplined Operations and HSSE professional with over the years experience in the job industry at various levels as well as extensive knowledge and understanding of the Port / container Terminal and Logistics, Mining, Construction management.


Dominic Baidoo joined Amaris Terminal in October 2016 as the Assistant HSSE and Operations Manager responsible for HSSE and operational planning. He came to Amaris with solid experience and understanding of the Port, Container Terminal and Intermodal Transport and logistics.


Dominic’s key background has been geared towards areas of new projects startup – HSSE and Operational processes and procedures and governmental regulatory policies governing the industry.


Dominic has held numerous positions over the years such as HSSE Supervisor, HSSE Coordinator and the Acting Head of HSSE Department with Meridian Port Services Limited – Joint Venture between the A.P. Moller Terminals (APMT) and Bollore group for ten (10) years. He worked with Biox Sulphide Expansion Project (BSEP-ALLSHIP LIMITED) – under Golden Star, Bogoso Gold Limited for one and half year.


Dominic holds BSc in Information Technology from Methodist University and Masters of Art in Ports and Shipping Administration from the Regional Maritime University.

He also has the following professional qualifications;

  • NEBOSH General International Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH – IGC – UK).
  • IMIS Higher Diploma in Management Information System – UK
  • IMIS Diploma in Management Information System – UK.
  • He is a LIMIS and AIMIS member of the Institute for the Management of Information System – UK.

Dominic has received numerous job training/work experience in the following Ports/Terminals across the global;

  • Gateway Terminals Mumbai – India,
  • Bahrain Gateway Terminals Manama – Bahrain and
  • Salala Port – Oman.


He successfully completed the following projects at Meridian Ports Services and Amaris Terminal:

  • April 2017, completed the Terminal Operating System (TOS) – LogStar for Amaris Terminal as the project Manager.
  • July 2012, he assisted the HSSE Manager to develop and implement the PEDESTRAIN FREE-YARD CONCEPT PROJECT for Meridian Port Services.
  • December 2008, under his leadership as the acting head of the HSSE Department, Meridian Port Services won the best safety performance award within the APMT Africa Regional Terminals.
